This year’s summer in Berlin was crap. It was nonexistent. It’s pretty sad, because we all love summer at The Germans’ house. Thankfully, in September, we had a couple of weeks of beautiful weather. One Sunday we headed out for a bike ride and ended up cycling a good chunk of the Berliner Mauerweg, a bicycle track that takes you all around Berlin along what used to be the wall.
The particular leg we rode along consist mostly of smooth asphalt, with no cars in sight, just pedestrians and other cyclists here and there. It’s perfect for workout too, I did my share of long bike rides here, it takes you straight down to Schönefeld airport, adding up to almost 50km return. If you’re curious, you can find the leg of the Wall Trail I’m referring to here. My favorite path for cycling workout for sure. Shame it’s now almost too cold for long bike rides.
